Dubai Duty Free Tennis Stadium — Venue & Directions

The Dubai Duty Free Tennis Stadium at the Aviation Club is one of the most recognisable tennis venues in the world. Since it hosted its first tournament in 1993 it has staged every edition of the Dubai Duty Free Tennis Championships, and the Centre Court has seen Roger Federer lift the trophy eight times, Novak Djokovic, Rafael Nadal and Andy Murray fight for the men's title, and champions from Justine Henin and Venus Williams to Jessica Pegula win the women's event.

The stadium is intimate by the standards of the tour: a 5,000-seat open-air arena where every category sits close to the court and the evening sessions play out under floodlights in the mild February air. The mix of world-class tennis and the hospitality Dubai is known for — the Tennis Village, restaurants and cafés around the courts — is what brings fans back year after year.

The stadium is at the Aviation Club Tennis Centre, Al Garhoud Road, Al Garhoud, Dubai — about ten minutes by car from Dubai International Airport and twenty minutes from Downtown Dubai. Open the stadium in Google Maps.

• Metro. Take the Green Line to GGICO station; the stadium is around ten minutes on foot. Trains run every few minutes, and the metro is the most reliable option when the roads around the venue are busy.
• Taxi and ride-hailing. Taxis, Uber and Careem all serve the venue, with a drop-off point at the entrance and a dedicated pick-up area after the matches. Book ahead for the finals.
• By car. On-site parking at the Aviation Club is limited. Arrive early — up to 90 minutes before the first match on busy days — or use the metro instead.

Gates usually open about an hour before the first match of the session. Bag checks are carried out at the entrance, so allow a few extra minutes.

Centre Court tickets are sold in four categories. Prime A is courtside, closest to the players, and the best choice for feeling the pace of the game. Prime B sits on the lower level along the sides with excellent angles on the rallies. Grandstand Lower gives elevated sightlines while staying close to the action and carries the liveliest atmosphere. Grandstand Upper opens a panoramic view of the whole stadium and is the most affordable way in.

In previous editions the Prime categories were numbered seats, while Grandstand Upper was unreserved seating within the section, and the organiser has varied the Grandstand Lower arrangement between the women's and men's weeks. The venue is compact and easy to navigate. Restaurants, cafés and bars are spread around the courts, from quick refreshment stands to premium dining, and outside food and drink are not permitted. Clean restrooms — including accessible ones — are located on every level, and the tournament shop sells official merchandise and player apparel.

Complimentary Wi-Fi covers the venue, ATMs are available on site and most vendors accept cards and Apple Pay. First-aid stations staffed by trained personnel are located near the main entrances. February is one of the best months of the year in Dubai: average highs around 25°C, lows around 15°C, and rain is rare. Day sessions can feel hot in the sun — the Centre Court is open-air with only partial shade from the roof structure — while evening sessions are pleasantly cool.
